Who we are
This website is run by J&B Electrical Ltd, Srups House, Cainhoe Wood Golf Club, Ampthill Road, Shefford, SG17 5PH. We are the controller of the personal information you send us through this website, and are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (reference ZB259404).
What we collect and why
When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number and organisation if you give them, and the details of your enquiry. We use this only to reply to you and to prepare a quotation if you ask for one. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where you ask for a quote, taking steps before entering into a contract.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is sent to us by email. Our website and email are hosted by IONOS. We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them, and keep quotation and job records for as long as we need them for business, legal and tax purposes.
Sparky, our AI assistant
Sparky is an automated AI assistant, not a person. It may make errors, so please check any information it gives with our office before relying on it. What you type to Sparky is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a reply, and may be processed outside the UK. If you give Sparky your details for a quote or call back, they are emailed to our office in the same way as the enquiry form. Please do not type payment details or other sensitive information into the chat. The conversation is kept in your browser only until you close the tab.
